BRIEF: Mobile veteran centers to hit rural Nueces County

April 29--The Nueces County Veterans Services will have mobile centers in rural areas twice in May.

Mobile veteran centers will be at the Keach Family Library, 1000 Terry Shamsie Blvd., in Robstown on May 16; Bishop Senior Center, 102 W. Joyce Street in Bishop, on May 17; and Veterans of Foreign Affairs Post 8967, 311 N. Alister Street in Aransas Pass, on May 18.

Representatives will be available 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Counseling is available for Individual readjustment, bereavement, marital and family issues, employment and career guidance and military sexual trauma (not all locations). There will be representatives on hand for benefits assistance and referral, substance abuse assistance and referral and community education.

Specific health care, disability, pension, burial and survivors benefits information will be given by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
