The two-hour, one-minute, PG-13 film is about events leading up to the famous 1973 Billie Jean King-Bobby Riggs tennis match and stars Emma Stone and Steve Carell. "The Queen family: Appalachian Tradition and Back Porch Music" is the name of a free program being offered 6:30 p.m. in the community room of the Jackson County Library in Sylva. Featured is a documentary about the late Mary Jane Queen and her musical family. It was shot three years before Queen died at 93 in 2004. For information, call 828-631-2646.

Free tax form help

Trained and certified volunteers will offer free federal and state income tax form help 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Jackson County Senior Center at 100 County Services Park in Sylva. Celebrate heritage apples

The Cashiers Historical Society's annual Heritage Apple Day event is set for 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, March 10 at the Cashiers Community Center off Frank Allen Road near the Cashiers-Glenville Volunteer Fire Department. The free event offers information on your forefathers' apples, grafting them, apple treats, live music, a photo booth and children's activities.
